Teri's Turquoise Set: August 2008
This is my latest set and it's for me. I had 2 beautiful opalite faceted THICK rondelles that I had bought on a whim. I knew they were to make a drop pendant but didn't think it would end up mine! So, when I wanted to make my own set I really really wanted a unique turquoise pendant, not one pre-formed by someone else. So I grabbed first 1 of the opalites and set that together, but it simply wasn't enough. Notice between each of the rondelles I put Swarovski crystal rondelles----every girl needs a bit of glamor. I wanted to be sure the necklace looked substantial enough for this pendant to fit in, so I used a few more turquoise rondelles, then a couple of nuggets so my design didn't whimper off into oblivion. I then decided I wanted a bracelet to match, so I used more opalite rounds and the same turquoise rondelles as are in the necklace. Finally, the earrings were a piece of cake----I simply REVERSED the stack order in the pendant as a contrasting match, with the same Swarovski rondelles between).
